In this time of considerable uncertainty, looking after your mind, body and soul should be number one priority. There is a lot of advice being shared at the moment suggesting this is the time to ‘step up’ and ‘be in service’. In hindsight, this is a great idea. However, right now, mother Earth is giving us all a lesson in slowing down. Whether we like it or not, there is no way we can ignore her. The more you push yourself to ‘be in service’ and ‘step up’, you’ll find your body feeling more resistance. This could show up as exhaustion, anxiety, stress , guilt and the feeling like you want to hide away from everyone and everything. 

Now is the time to take care of number 1! That is you! After that, if it feels right and you feel in flow, then please help as many people feel called to do. But remember, you are doing more than you know by being kind and compassionate to firstly yourself and secondly to even just one other person. 

 

I am giving you permission to put yourself first, to breath and focus within. 

 

This beautiful ritual bath will help you release fear, anxiety and negative energy that you might be holding onto. If you do not have a bath at home, please don’t worry as you can check out my other blog post “Healing Shower Ritual.” 

What you’ll need – 

  • A handful of pink Himalayan Salt or Bath Salts

  • Rosemary 

  • Thyme

  •  Rose petals

  •  Rose absolute oil 

  • A white candle

  • Rose quartz crystal

You can adapt these ingredients as much as you like. If you want to use other herbs, essential oils, crystals or flower petals, go ahead. This bath is your sacred time. Your body and soul will guide you into what it needs. Go with your intuition and use what you already have in your cupboards at home. 

 

Step One

 

Keep your bathroom clean and tidy, so when you’re laying in the bathwater, you have little distractions. While you’re running the bath, light your candle/s and set the mood. Add all your ingredients. Yes, I want you to add all your ingredients to the bathwater. You can swap in and out any elements you wish. Use your intuition on this. As I mentioned, trust yourself, there is no right or wrong. 

 

Step Two

Set a beautiful Intention – 

 

What is it that made you run this bath? How do you want to feel afterwards?

 

Step Three

 

Lower yourself into the bath. Visualise the water cleansing your whole body from within. All your negative emotions are being washed away by this water. Take some time sitting in the bath, relax and enjoy!

When you’re ready, drain the water away. Stay in the tub until all the water has completely gone. Feel all those negative vibes wash down the plughole back into Mother Earth ready to be re-grounded again.

 

You will step out of the bath feeling fresh and invigorated! 

 

I suggest you take this bath at the end of your day so you can curl up into bed and carry on the healing while you sleep!
